Bubble Theme Party Ideas

Summertime means the kids are out of school and may need a bit more entertaining than they typically do during the school year. Whether you are planning a “just because” party, or you are putting together a birthday event, we have a fun summer party idea that may be perfect for you! If you are looking to do something a little different this time around, we have two words for you – Bubble Party! Kids love bubbles and this fun theme can mean maximum fun, without breaking the bank.

We found adorable bubble themed party invitations and printables from Living Locurto. This set is a great way to get your bubble party started. As for decorations, you can make things as elaborate or as simple as you would like. Clear balloons would be great for this party theme, and they wouldn’t cost much. Clear beach balls are another fun idea that you can use decoration or party props. You can hang them, or just cover the ground with them. The kids will certainly enjoy tossing them around.

A bubble party wouldn’t be complete without tons and tons of bubbles. Try your local party store or some online resources like Amazon.com or Oriental Trading. If you search online, you may be able to buy in bulk and save some money. Hiring a bubble truck to stop by your child’s party would make for the perfect addition to a bubble themed party.

Besides hiring a little bubble entertainment, you will also want to plan some activities for the kids. One Charming Party featured a really cute idea of creating a bubble experiment station where kids can use household items as bubble wands. Now that’s a cost effective idea.

Beth Kruse Custom Creations also offered a unique bubble party activity idea on her blog – bubble painting. She mixed dish soap with water and food coloring and let the kids paint with regular size bubble wands. This is a creative idea that kids would absolutely enjoy. When the party is over, they could take their artwork home as a souvenir.

When it comes to dessert, making a cake pop cake would be a cute idea that would tie in nicely with this theme. The pops could be arranged to look like bubbles. Or, if you are more of a traditionalist, you could always go with a classic cake with bubbles designed into the frosting. Party favors are pretty simple for this theme too – bubble wands, bottles of bubbles or bubble guns would all make great gift for the guests.
