Before joining the GigMasters team in 2009 I split my time organizing non-profit performing arts concerts by day and playing under-appreciated (aka weird) music by night. I have written extensively about music, primarily for Flyp Media and State of Mind magazines. These days I spend most of my time drinking coffee and working hard to get the word out about GigMasters 9,000 plus members.

I’m a mom, aspiring pianist, and the VP of Marketing at GigMasters. I launched this blog back in 2009 with the vision of creating one place where people can turn for information about parties and entertainment. My hope is that this blog continues to provide creative inspiration and practical advice for party people everywhere. I’m over-the-top passionate about what we’re doing at GigMasters. And, when I’m not working, you can find me cooking, entertaining friends, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors with my husband and son.

When I was eight, my great-aunt, the most elegant woman I know, told me I was an excellent hostess. I’ve been obsessed with parties and entertaining ever since. Over the past several years, I’ve written about weddings and the wedding business for a variety of blogs and magazines. I’m the Editorial Director of the wedding section and would love to hear your feedback and ideas at buzz@gigmasters.com.

I join the GigMasters family with a marketing and event planning background in the hospitality industry. I have a deep passion for music, entertainment and party planning and love every minute I spend writing for the blog. I am extremely excited to be part of the GigMasters team and work with all of our wonderful clients and members. On the weekends I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my two spoiled Labrador Retrievers.

Before the days of email and iTunes, I was a DJ in Colorado on terrestrial radio. After many late nights and early mornings, I found a career in the timeless world of Internet radio. Since 2000, I have worked for leading online media companies such as CBS, MP3.com, Last.fm and Rhapsody. When I’m not at work, you can find me watching Yo Gabba Gabba (with my kid) or on the disc golf course.
