The Hunger Games trilogy is pretty hot right now. Of course, the recent success of the Hunger Games movie has also helped catapult the popularity of these books. I’m a fan of the trilogy, which is why I loved stumbling across this Hunger Games Book Club Party from Hostess with the Mostess. This creative party was held to celebrate the Hunger Games movie premiere. The host invited all of the members of her book club. The entire party was styled incorporating many references and items from the books. As a Hunger Games supporter, I have to say that this party looks like a lot of fun!
I particularly liked the Mockingjay cake, capital wine, and clever names for the food – like Caesar Flickerman salad and Rue’s mixed berries (both named for characters in the book). Guests at the party participated in a trivia game hosted by an MC with over 100 Hunger Game questions that were drawn from a “tribute bowl.” The winner received Katniss’ orange backpack with a gift card to the movies and Panera Bread. The details of this party are so very clever! I wish I could have attended!
Now let’s switch gears to another party that caught my eye this week. How adorable is this Rainbow Fish 3rd Birthday Party from Kara’s Party Ideas? This colorful party is a great way to celebrate any little ones special day! The party printables used for the décor in this party are a huge part of the party styling. These printables offer everything from party hats and tags, to table tents and cupcake wrappers. Everything is tied into this super cute theme. The snack table for this party is gorgeous – it includes tons of tasty treats and more cute coordinating printables! This is definitely one well-styled party.
This fun fishy theme also included some fun activities for the guests. Kids got to make their own keepsake fish hand art, as well as play Go Fish and Pin the Scale on the Fish. They also had the opportunity to get their faces painted. This party is chock full of cuteness, and the goodie bags are my absolute favorite part. All of the guests got to take home the ‘catch of the day’ (bags that looked like fish and were attached to a fishing pole). The bags were filled with goodies for the guests to enjoy – so adorable!
The next party I’m loving is this Peppa Pig Muddy Puddles Birthday Party that was featured on Celebrations at Home. I recently discovered who Peppa Pig was (from my niece), and have since come to realize that this funny little pig is a Nick Jr. favorite. If you have a little girl in your life that loves Peppa Pig, then this party would surely be a great birthday present.
The Peppa Pig cupcakes and birthday cake are gorgeous. I think I would feel bad to eat these delicious treats, because they just look so beautiful. The bright colors and great themed party printables make this a stunning party. Guests colored Peppa Pig activity sheets and were also allowed to splash in mud puddles (that were actually cut out from brown craft paper). At the end of the party, little ones received favor bags filled with rubber balls and tags that read “We had a ball.” How cute is that?!
