How to prepare for the new school year:

  1. Buy new book bag & lunchbox
  2. Stock up on pencils, pens and crayons
  3. Throw the best Back-To-School bash ever!

Numbers 1 and 2 are a breeze, but we're here to help make sure number 3 is a success. We've searched the web for the best back to school party inspiration - what we found is sure to end everyone's summer with a smile! All photos were submitted by users of the Catch My Party blog.

You can’t have a party without an invitation! Not only are these invites adorable, but you can print them for free! Check out Catch My Party to grab your own.

Apples, school buses, chalkboards and crayons are all images that work great as back-to-school decorations. Setting up activity stations, like these coloring and craft tables, is a great way to get kids involved. You can even bring the theme to life by hiring a story teller or puppet show. They're a great way to sneak in a little bit of learning, while still keeping the party fun.

Lunch time is one of the best parts of the school day! Serve easy to eat snacks, like these grilled cheese halves in soup. Fruit and veggie sticks, cracker cups and of course cupcakes are other simple, relatively mess-free favorites. To keep up with the classroom theme, decorate the food (like the "apples" and grape "book worms" shown above).

School teaches the importance of good manners, so don't forget to thank the guests! Paper lunch bags or pencil boxes  make great containers for goody bags. Fill them with erasers, fun pencils, stickers or even single-serve snacks. We love the idea of labeling them with these mini chalkboard name tags, which are sold at many craft stores. - Summer might be over, but kids are sure to be excited for fall after this back-to-school bash! Let's get started!
